The wonders of digital photography. We can shoot a hundred pictures and select the best. What most people do, including myself, is keep all the photos and say we’ll weed out the bad and blurry shots later. On several occasions Jenn and I have enjoyed hearty laughs from some of those “bad” photos. This weekend supplied it’s fair share.
We returned to Serenbe on Saturday with the hope of flying a kite we purchased for Penelope. And on Sunday we met Stephanie, Charlie, and their special guests at the park. We arrived early and tried to give the kite flying another go then headed to the playground for some slide time.
Jenn did a fantastic job chronicling the fun. Rather than share those precious “ah, that’s so cute” photos I decided to post the humorous ones. The ones of me looking like a daft suburbanite running around with a butterfly kite. The pictures that captured my face at just the wrong moments.
We had a great weekend. The laughs provided by these pictures made it that much better.

If I were holding coconut shells this would be a perfect imitation of the horseback riding scenes from “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”.

No, I didn’t kick Penelope down the slide. Though this pictures does make it look like that.

Everybody hurts sometimes.

I don’t know what I did to upset Penelope this much…

If I were a photoshop guy I’d add another pair of hands to this photo. Still looks funny and bizarre the way it is.

Grown man going down a twisty slide. Not so difficult. Going down with a three year old right behind you while holding on to her legs? Too hard for me. I started to lose my balance and thought I was going to come off the slide as you can see in the next photo.

Ok, this isn’t a silly photo. In fact I love this shot. Though it does remind me why it’s important for me to either A. keep my hair really short or B. style it anytime I leave the house.
