I am giving away a pristine edition of Park Chan-Wook’s film “Sympathy for Lady Vengeance”. The slip case is still in shrinkwrap and the discs are in excellent condition.
Please note: This is a Region 3 disc. If you do not have a Region Free player or dedicated Region 3/Region Free DVD drive in your computer disregard this giveaway. I would like this movie to go to a home where it will be appreciated for the masterpiece that it is.
“Jeremy, why are you giving this movie away? You said it was a masterpiece!” I ordered this upon release because it contains the Fade to Black and White version of the film. If you’re familiar with the history of the movie you know the director intended for the film to begin in color with the hues draining slowly throughout the film. Due to budgetary constraints the film was released in color.
Many years later the Vengeance Trilogy was released on Blu-Ray. I snatched up a copy as soon as I could. The BR version has both color and faded versions, along with the bonus material. The DVD is no longer needed.
