Chaunda from CCAI called both of us on the 6th to let us know our application was approved. We also received an email with everything we need to complete before beginning the formal process. Several items were straightforward enough like writing autobiographies, providing copies of health insurance cards, and a copy of the water bill. We also have to provide rabies vaccination records for all the pets, and, of most concern, an inspection report on our septic tank. At the moment we have a small area in the back yard retaining water. This morning a plumbing company came out to inspect it and determined the problem lies on the septic side. It could be the drain field, a broken pipe leaving the septic tank to the field lines, or ground saturation. There may be other options we don’t know about since the whole thing is underground. It’s very trying as major work would require lots of money we don’t have. Hoping for the best though.
In the mean time we’re getting home ready. What was taking too long is now flying by. The back bathroom is now tiled, grouted, and caulked. After sealing the floor, painting, and clean up I’ll be installing the toilet and sink and it will be done. A year and a half later. The next one will be done much quicker.
